Nick Stevens had tough shoes to fill in 2015. Gone was Garrett Grayson, who rewrote the record book at Colorado State. Stevens did better than just about anyone in Fort Collins could have expected.

Having receiver Rashard Higgins to throw to certainly didn’t hurt. Higgins is now with the Cleveland Browns and Stevens will have to help create plays for his younger receiving group. Stevens has a strong arm and good enough mobility to escape the pocket and make plays if need be.

The Colorado State offense is boosted by a strong running game behind Dalyn Dawkins; there will still be plenty of talented players to get the ball to. Stevens will have to be at his best as he will have Georgia transfer Faton Bauta fighting for playing time right behind him.

Nick Stevens will have a lot riding on his shoulders this season. Not only will Stevens need to help win some games due to a retooled defense, but CSU will want to show improvement as they look to a possible future in the Big 12 Conference.
