  • 2015 Stats: 300 passing yards, 2 TDs, 0 Ints

Sure, Davis Webb didn’t play much last year and was injured. Thing is, Webb has some talent. Just look at the stats above.

It was an interesting offseason for Davis Webb as he had lost the job at Texas Tech to Mahomes in 2015 and decided to transfer at season’s end. Initially heading to Colorado, Webb took a visit to Cal and then changed his mind and headed to Berkeley. Head coach Sonny Dykes has already named Webb the starter for the 2016 season.

Webb brings experience to a team that just lost a stud quarterback to the NFL in Jared Goff. If not for Webb, Cal might have been dire straights this upcoming season. Webb is a polished passer who can air it out and is pretty accurate with the football.

Cal also provides a good offensive line for Webb as Cal returns four starters on the line, including both tackles. The biggest obstacle for the offense will be replacing all the lost production at wide receiver. Webb should be able to alleviate that with his passing abilities and make his new teammates elevate their level of play.
