4. The Texas A&M Aggies will beat the Auburn Tigers straight up in their match at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Texas A&M and Auburn are two teams that the nation didn’t know how competitive they would be. After two weeks of play, the jury is still out on both these teams, but they have had some encouraging moments. From Auburn’s near win against the Clemson Tigers to Texas A&M’s rally to beat a well coached UCLA team, these programs hope that they are for real.

The Aggies struggled in their first game against UCLA, needing overtime to beat the Bruins. The Aggie defensive line showed up and took over the game. John Chavis’ defense cornered Josh Rosen everywhere on the field and forced the young quarterback to make some bad throws.

On the other sideline, Auburn looked competitive when they played the almighty Clemson Tigers. Even though Auburn is still looking for a quarterback, the defense stood tall at times, and played well enough to hang with the former number two team in the country. Gus Malzahn must expect more from his players though, as the season will only get tougher.

Coming into this game, The Auburn Tigers are actually favored. What might come as a surprise to some is fair treatment according to Tiger fans. Make no mistake, this game will be a fun one to watch, and it most likely will come down to the wire, but Texas A&M will win straight up. On the backs of the Aggie defensive line, the A&M defense will stay in the backfield this weekend. The Auburn Tigers’ offense isn’t strong enough to overcome A&M’s defense, which is why the Aggies should come out on top.
