The Miami Hurricanes are off to a 3-0 start under new head coach Mark Richt. This week’s 45-10 victory over Appalachian State put the rest of the ACC on watch: This Hurricanes team is pretty good.

The Hurricanes scored on the first play of the game on running back Mark Walton’s 80 yard rumble to the endzone. It was Walton’s third straight game with over 100 rushing yards.

He finished with 130 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Quarterback Brad Kaaya threw for 368 yards and three touchdowns.

Overall, it was a good day against the Mountaineers for the Hurricanes. Their defense has been playing lights out. They allowed only 10 points and 126 rushing yards on the day.

The Miami Hurricanes are ranked in the AP Top 15 for the first time since 2013. They have scored a school record 108 points in their first two games.

Next Week: Bye

It was reported quarterback Brad Kaaya had some swelling in his knee after the game, but luckily the Hurricanes have a bye this week. They face Georgia Tech on October 1.
