ACC Football: Week 3 Power Rankings
The Pittsburgh Panthers had a rough game in their 45-38 loss to Oklahoma State. They drop three spots in this week’s ACC Power Rankings to the eighth spot.
Oklahoma State wide receiver James Washington made the Panthers secondary look silly all game to the tune of nine catches for 296 yards and two touchdowns. Oklahoma State quarterback Mason threw for 540 passing yards and the Panthers saw themselves on the losing end of a shootout.
The Pittsburgh Panthers didn’t play terribly on offense either, as both teams combined for over 1,000 yards of total offense.
Panthers running back James Conner rushed for 111 yards and a rushing touchdown. Pittsburgh wide receiver Quadree Henderson had 95 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns.
The Panthers offense had to play from behind all game, they trailed 31-17 in the second quarter.

The Pittsburgh Panthers open their ACC schedule against the North Carolina Tar Heels, where they desperately need a win. The Panthers have lost the last three games to the Tar Heels by one possession or less.
