The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets climb up two spots in this week’s ACC Power Rankings and remain as one of the ACC’s undefeated team.

They won it going away against the Vanderbilt Commodores 38-7. The Yellow Jackets recorded 511 yards of total offense (222 passing, 289 rushing). Quarterback Justin Thomas was 6-13 for 136 passing yards and a touchdown. Thomas led the team in rushing with 84 rushing yards as well.

The Georgia Tech defense held their own as well, holding the Commodores to just 85 rushing yards and 190 passing yards.

Through three weeks, the Yellow Jackets defense has only allowed 10.3 points per game which is seventh in the nation. It will be interesting see if it can hold up against tougher competition.

Next Week: Clemson

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets host the Clemson Tigers in a Thursday night matchup this week. The Tigers will test the Yellow Jackets defense and see if it is good as advertised. Georgia Tech has won two out of the last five meetings but is 51-28 overall in the series.
