Last week rank: 5

Week 3 result: 32-0 win against North Texas

The Gators continue to impress on offense, but the injury to starting quarterback, Luke Del Rio, looms large for their upcoming matchup against Tennessee.

Florida took care of Kentucky a week ago and kept the momentum by defeating North Texas by a score of 32-0. The defense continues to impress, and quite frankly why wouldn’t it? The Gators have been known for their defensive prowess for a decade now. The offense has been what was lacking in recent seasons. Will Grier looked to be the catalyst for a great offense last season but was suspended for PED use. Now Luke Del Rio has come in and shown great pose in the offense. The sprained left knee injury will keep Del Rio out for two to three weeks. The Gators next three games are; Tennessee, Vanderbilt and LSU. Florida will need its offense to sustain while Del Rio gets healthy.

A trip to Knoxville await, if the Gators have at least a decent offense but bring their A game on defense, they should be able to hang with Tennessee.

Next game: September 24, at Tennessee 3:30pm ET CBS
