7. Oklahoma Sooners (Record: 1-2)

The Oklahoma Sooners have been confusing a lot of people this season. One minute, they’re playing Championship caliber football, and the next (haunted by a backup quarterback’s words), Ohio State is embarrassing them at home.

A lot of people are saying it’s better the Sooners’ implosion is happening now, before receiving a Playoff bid. But if OU wants to prevent further hemorrhaging, forget the preseason hype and Heisman discussion, and go salvage the season.

Losses against Houston and Ohio State weren’t unexpected given the talent the Sooners were up against, but OU has left a lot to be desired.

Going into a much needed bye, the Sooners now have an opportunity to thoroughly examine what the culprits have been behind its lack of ferocity on the field. With TCU and the Red River Rivalry game coming up, Oklahoma could get back into Big 12 title conversation with a win over either, but changes must be made, and quickly.
