3. TCU Horned Frogs (Record: 2-1)

Gary Patterson showed obvious frustration following TCU’s first in-conference test against Iowa State on Saturday. Despite a 41-20 win and standard Big 12 numbers on offense, Patterson expressed that his team was playing with a lack of emotion following the Frogs’ Week 2 loss against Arkansas.

On Monday’s press conference, Patterson didn’t provide an injury update on wide receiver and return specialist KaVontae Turpin, who left the game on Saturday with a leg injury. “Hopefully, we’ll get him back in the future,” Patterson said. Turpin led the nation in all-purpose yards per game before Iowa State’s win.

With the way quarterback Kenny Hill has handled the offense, if the Frogs can get some of its injured players back and play with emotion, expect big things to happen in conference play.
