College Football Rankings 2016: Projected AP Top 25 after Week 4
By Zach Bigalke
Wisconsin cemented their top-10 credentials in this week’s AP Top 25 with an impressive road victory over eighth-ranked Michigan State. The Badgers turned to Alex Hornibrook at quarterback after inconsistent play from Bart Houston, and the switch paid off. Hornibrook threw for 195 yards with a touchdown and an interception. The running game, usually Wisconsin’s strength, still looks surprisingly weak after Dale Ogunbowale and Corey Clement each finished with just over 50 yards apiece.
With wins over LSU and Michigan State, few teams have as impressive a resume by the end of September as Paul Chryst’s squad. The Badgers now have to try to survive a rough October slate. Next week Wisconsin takes on top-five Michigan at the Big House in Ann Arbor. In two weeks Ohio State comes to Madison. If they can survive the interdivisional matchups, they then have to take on Iowa and Nebraska in divisional showdowns that will likely decide which of the trio plays in Indianapolis in December.
