College Football Rankings 2016: Projected AP Top 25 after Week 4
By Zach Bigalke
By halftime Houston had already racked up a 43-3 lead on Texas State, and quarterback Greg Ward Jr. compiled 289 passing and 39 rushing yards with three total touchdowns in 30 minutes of work. Then the Cougars returned the opening kickoff 99 yards to open the second half with another touchdown. Once the coaches started putting in reserves into the game, the scoring pace slowed down, but Houston still proved far superior to the Bobcats.
The Cougars are on a collision course to be undefeated and in the top five of the AP Top 25 when they face Louisville at the beginning of November. Before then their toughest game is a road trip to Annapolis to face the Midshipmen on October 8. Houston will be heavily favored in every game they play before hosting the Cardinals, including the showdown with Navy. If things play out right, Tom Herman could have his team contending for a spot in the College Football Playoff.
