Ohio State had the benefit of sitting on the sidelines and waiting to see what everyone else above and below them in the Top 25 was able to accomplish over Week 4. The Buckeyes are coming off a major non-conference win over Oklahoma in Norman that bumped them up to number two in the nation. Urban Meyer’s crew is ranked seventh nationally with over 300 rushing yards per game, and as they move into Big Ten play a strong run game will be critical.

Rutgers and Indiana shouldn’t offer too much of a challenge in the next two weeks. Ohio State’s next real test will come on October 15 when they head to Madison to face Wisconsin. Nebraska will likely provide another tough test at the beginning of November before the Buckeyes finish the year with Michigan State and Michigan. At this point Ohio State is ranked in the top 10 in scoring offense and scoring defense, and that likely won’t change over the next few weeks.
