College Football Rankings 2016: Projected AP Top 25 after Week 4
By Zach Bigalke
In a duel of Top 25 teams, Ole Miss came up huge at home in a 31-point victory over Georgia. Chad Kelly threw for 282 yards and two touchdowns, and added another 53 yards and a rushing touchdown on the ground. The defense coughed up 230 rushing yards to the Bulldogs’ deep backfield, but made the day miserable for freshman quarterback Jacob Eason. The Rebels had put the game away by halftime, taking a 31-0 lead into the locker room.
Though they have already sustained losses to Florida State and Alabama, Ole Miss will continue climbing up the AP Top 25 as long as they continue to win. While they are behind in the SEC West race after falling to the Crimson Tide, a New Year’s Six invite isn’t out of the question. In addition to their conference schedule, the Rebels will also play strong mid-majors Memphis and Georgia Southern in non-conference play later this season.
