Clemson took charge of the ACC Atlantic at home on Saturday in a back-and-forth struggle against Louisville that ended in a six-point win. They took an 18-point lead into the locker room at halftime against Louisville in primetime. Things fell apart after the intermission as the Clemson defense allowed 26 straight points to the Cardinals. But they took the lead back in the last few minutes, and Louisville fell short on their last drive. As a result Clemson bumps back up into the top four of the AP Top 25.

The Tigers take on Boston College and NC State the next two weeks. Dabo Swinney’s squad will then sit out Week 8 before heading to Tallahassee for a showdown with Florida State that could still have ACC Atlantic implications if Louisville stumbles down the stretch.
