College Football Week 7 Power Rankings
By Elias Arnett
Every week watching Lamar Jackson one becomes more amazed with his talent. He proved in Louisville’s 24-14 win against Duke that he is almost unstoppable on the ground.
Jackson rushed for 144 yards and a touchdown on Saturday, and has now rushed for more than 100 yards in five games. He has also scored a rushing touchdown in every game this year. As a defensive coordinator how in the hell do you prepare for that?
I think you have to force him to throw the ball. Before the matchup against Duke, Jackson had thrown an interception in four straight games. If you can contain him in the pocket, and I know that’s not an easy task, you’re making him uncomfortable and might force more turnovers.
It wasn’t pretty, but you have to think that Louisville kept themselves in the playoff hunt after their win on Friday. Like I’ve said in previous weeks, I think they’re going to need some help, but this team could give anyone in the country worry.
The Cardinals have to continue to win and see if they can somehow sneak in to the ACC Championship game.
