Texas A&M is coming off a well-deserved bye week after their 45-38 double overtime thriller against Tennessee. However their bye week wasn’t been celebrating. Instead the Aggies had to get ready to travel to Tuscaloosa and play the number one ranked team in the country, Alabama.

Trayveon Williams, who rushed for 217 yards and a touchdown against Tennessee, needs to be effective again on Saturday for the Aggies to have a chance. The real question is can A&M score on that Alabama defense?

The Aggies gave up 38 points to Tennessee at home, while on the other hand Tennessee was held to just 10 points on Saturday at home against Alabama.

Now it’s hard to think that A&M is going to be able to upset the Crimson Tide this Saturday, but what if? If A&M finds a way to win this weekend their College Football Playoff hopes are in their control.

After their game this weekend, A&M will play New Mexico, at Mississippi State, Ole Miss, UTSA and LSU. The Aggies are sure to be favorites in all of those games.

But can A&M actually beat Alabama?

Like I said last week that it’s hard to bet against Ohio State, it’s equally as hard to bet against Nick Saban and his team. It will be interesting to see how this A&M team does in handling the pressure this weekend.
