2017 Mock Draft: 1st-Round Projections through Week 7
Miami Hurricanes quarterback Brad Kaaya allows the Houston Texans to press the reset button at quarterback. They drafted offensive weapons in receiver Will Fuller (Notre Dame) as well as Braxton Miller (Ohio State) but things haven’t gone as planned for the Texans this season.
Houston is just 31st in points per game with 18 per contest, 27th in yards per game with 327.7 and 30th in passing yards per game with 216.5.
Kaaya is currently eighth in the ACC in passing yards with 1,373. He’s finished second in the ACC the past two seasons in passing yards; in 2014, behind Florida State’s Jameis Winston and in 2015, behind Clemson’s Deshaun Watson.
It’ll be hard to pass up the best available player in the draft if Kaaya is still on the board.
