TE. Alabama. O.J. Howard. 27. player. 45.

The Denver Broncos defense doesn’t seem to be the real issue here despite a first round full of defensive talent. They’ll take tight end O.J. Howard out of Alabama in this week’s mock draft.

The Broncos rank 28th in yards per game with 323.3 a contest. They rank 27th in passing yards per game with 224.8 a contest. Howard is a huge mismatch in the passing game and could certainly flourish in the role now Jaguars tight end Julius Thomas once filled.

He has 83 catches for 1,340 yards and five touchdowns at Alabama in his career so far. He’ll need to work on running cleaner routes but that will come in due time given NFL experience.
