Week 7 result – 24-7 win over Rutgers

Illinois finally earned their second win of the season. Unfortunately, it was against Rutgers which is almost the same as a bye week.

This win gives them no credibility. Defeating a team that lost 78-0 a week ago is like grabbing the last slice of pizza after everyone else said they’re full. There’s nothing impressive or meaningful in this victory.

All the Fighting Illini recieved in this game was a chance to prove they aren’t the worst. Maybe they’ll defeat Michigan State and prove that they are the power house amongst terrible Big Ten teams.
