2017 NFL Mock Draft: First-Round Projections after Week 8
By Tyler Brooke
The secondary for the Tennessee Titans has a lot of holes, and that has to be addressed sooner than later with Andrew Luck and Blake Bortles playing in the AFC South. While they could draft a position-specific cornerback or safety, it’ll be awfully hard to pass up on arguably the most athletic and versatile player in the whole draft.
Michigan’s Jabrill Peppers can do just about it all. He can play safety, cornerback, linebacker, return kicks and punts or even line up in the backfield on offense. He’s aggressive and instinctive with some unreal speed to make plays all over the field.
Despite everything Peppers can do, many scouts are concerned about whether or not the Michigan prospect can specialize at one position. If he can prove that he can play either cornerback or safety for the majority of snaps, he could become a potential Pro Bowler for a team like the Titans.
Having Peppers lined up deep to return kicks and punts wouldn’t be a bad thing for the Titans, either.
