Let the complaints commence.

Here’s where I will have a lot of people disagreeing with me. You might be thinking, “why in the hell is Washington fifth and a one-loss Louisville team going to be ranked higher than them?” Let me explain.

It’s this simple for me. If Washington played Louisville right now at a neutral site who are you going to put your money on? Washington? I don’t think so.

There’s no doubt that Washington is a hell of a football team. They have proved that through the first eight weeks of the season, but are they good enough to beat Alabama, Michigan, etc.? I don’t think so right now, but of course I could always be wrong. That has happened many times before, I’ll be the first to admit.

Now let me stop getting on Washington and give them the praise that they deserve.

Their quarterback Jake Browning continues to put up big numbers. On Saturday against Oregon State he threw for 291 yards on 14-28 passing and three touchdowns, with a rating of 172.7. The rating of 172.7 is actually his worst rating in his last five games, believe it or not.

However this week’s game at Utah worries me a little. The Utes are 7-1 on the season, and are coming off a confidence-boosting win after beating UCLA 52-45 in Pasadena. If you’re going to see a slip up in this Washington team, I think this weekend is the one to look out for.
