College Football Rankings 2016: Projected AP Top 25 after Week 11
By Zach Bigalke
The Seminoles defense knotted up Boston College in Tallahassee on Friday night, allowing fewer than 150 total yards of offense to the Eagles in a 45-7 rout. Against a tough Boston College rushing defense, Dalvin Cook notched 108 yards and a touchdown. The success on the ground opened things up as well for the passing game, as Deondre Francois finished with 183 yards and three scores and backup Sean Maguire added another 53 yards and two more touchdowns.
As it came against an Eagles team that was already under .500 entering the game, this blowout is unlikely to provide much impetus for upward movement in either the AP Top 25 or the College Football Playoff rankings. At this point FSU is mathematically eliminated from contention in the ACC Atlantic, and thus all Jimbo Fisher’s team can do is jockey for the best bowl invitation possible. They head to Syracuse for the conference finale next weekend before their rivalry game against Florida on Thanksgiving weekend.
