ACC Football: Week 11 Power Rankings
The Virginia Cavaliers played things competitive in the first half, but ran out of gas in the second half this past week. Their 34-14 loss to the Miami Hurricanes come as a humbling experience. Bronco Mendenhall’s first season as head coach continues to be full of growth and experience.
The Cavaliers trailed 17-14 to the Miami Hurricanes at halftime. In the second half, the Cavaliers fumbled the ball four times. The Hurricanes scored 14 points off the Cavaliers four turnovers in the game. Virginia is now 1-5 in ACC play.
Quarterback Kurt Benkert fumbled once in the game and was sacked five times in the game. He did go 16-for-27 through the air for 143 passing yards and a touchdown. Running Taquan Mizzell ran for 89 rushing yards and a touchdown as well.

The Cavaliers have lost five ACC games in a row since beating Duke on October 1. They’ll look to break the losing streak on the road this week against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. They defeated the Yellow Jackets last season 27-21.
