3.  Oklahoma State Cowboys (Record: 8-2)

Oklahoma State is one of those teams this season that no matter what seems to go wrong throughout the game, they find ways to get the win. At the end of the day, that’s all that matters, and as such, the Cowboys are now 7-0 in conference play with the help of its 45-44 victory over Texas Tech on Saturday.

Big 12 games are notorious for drama, and Texas Tech certainly brought it with trick plays, a missed PAT, and another heartbreaking loss on the road. If you’re Mike Gundy, you’re thrilled you escaped with another win, however, if you’re an Oklahoma State fan, you should be livid in the Cowboys’ defense.

Despite quarterback Mason Rudolph airing it out for 395 yards and two touchdowns, Oklahoma State’s defense allowed Texas Tech to put 518 yards on the board, and 44 points. Had it not been for critical errors by the Red Raiders, it would have been a much different game. With TCU and Oklahoma still on the schedule, Oklahoma State has a shot at the Big 12 title, but failing to prevent either opponent from firing at will and dismantling its defense won’t help in the long run.
