College Football Rankings 2016: Projected AP Top 25 after Week 12

On a day where division rival Utah succumbed to an upset at home, Colorado managed to avoid the same fate as they pulled away late from 20th-ranked Washington State on Saturday. Sefo Liufao piled up more than 450 total yards of offense, throwing for 345 and rushing for another 108 and three scores. Philip Lindsay led all runners with 144 yards on the ground while getting into the endzone twice. Washington State was held nearly 100 yards and three touchdowns below its season averages as Colorado dealt the Cougars their first Pac-12 loss of the season.
The Buffaloes moved one step closer to a spot in the Pac-12 title game with their win over the Cougars, though they still need to beat Utah at home next week to wrap up the division title. Should Colorado run the table and win the conference, their 11-2 record would represent their win total from the past four seasons combined. The turnaround in Boulder has been nothing short of miraculous, and a rising position in the Top 25 is testament to the hard work Mike McIntyre and everyone on the team has put in to engineer this dream season for the Buffaloes.
