College Football Rankings 2016: Projected AP Top 25 after Week 12
By Zach Bigalke
Boise State mainly stuck to the ground game to take care of business against UNLV on Friday night, as Jeremy McNichols rushed for 206 yards and four touchdowns to pace the Broncos to victory. A week after the Rebels upset Wyoming in triple overtime, Bryan Harsin’s team avoided the same fate. Boise State held UNLV to 302 yards of offense and played a disciplined game on both sides of the ball, committing just one penalty all game to claim their 10th win of the season.
With Wyoming’s win at home against San Diego State, the Broncos still need help to claim the MWC Mountain. Boise State needs Wyoming to lose to the Lobos in order to reach the Mountain West championship game against the Aztecs, and they also need to win on Black Friday in Colorado Springs against Air Force. After last season’s upset by the Falcons, the Broncos will be on high alert to make sure they don’t blow their second chance at claiming the division.
