LSU took on Texas A&M on Thanksgiving night and suddenly looked like an offensive juggernaut against the Aggies. Derrius Guice set a single-game LSU rushing record with 285 yards on the ground and four touchdowns. Danny Etling provided balance from the passing game, throwing for 324 yards and another two scores. The defense gave up nearly 500 yards of offense to the Aggies, but the hosts were never really able to keep pace with the Bayou Bengals.

With four losses, LSU’s position in the AP Top 25 this week is about the largest honor they will receive. After falling out of the College Football Playoff rankings last week, it will be interesting to see if the Tigers return to the list when it is revealed on Tuesday. LSU would be a longshot pick to play in a New Year’s Six bowl game out of the SEC, but the Tigers will nevertheless head somewhere this postseason with a chance to get to eight wins under interim coach Ed Orgeron.
