3. John Ross, WR Washington

John Ross has been the big play wide receiver for Washington all year. He is the second half of the biggest matchup of this game. Ross will be matching up across from Chidobe Awuzie. Ross has been lights out in his play this year and has torched every defense he has matched up against.

The year Ross has 72 receptions for 1,071 yards and 16 touchdowns. There are some very good NFL receivers that won’t put up numbers close to those that Ross has put up this year. Colorado’s secondary will look to shut down Ross early and keep him from making a huge impact on the game. Ross has also rushed for over 100 yards on just eight carries this year. Washington may try to use the jet sweep and some screens to get Ross the ball in space and allow him to us use his speed.

If John Ross gets the ball early and often, it will be a long day for the Colorado defense. He is their number one receiver and will be a huge part of Washington’s offense as they try to win their way into the CFP as well as win the Pac-12 championship.
