2. Dante Pettis, WR Washington

Many people may forget just how good of a season that junior WR Dante Pettis has had this year. While John Ross may be the number one WR at Washington, Pettis is a very close number two. Pettis has 49 catches for 787 yards and 14 touchdowns on the year. Those are insane numbers for a guy who is your number two.

With John Ross probably getting the bulk of the Colorado secondary’s attention, this could bode well for Pettis. If Colorado does put more attention on Ross, Pettis may have a huge game. Pettis isn’t shy of making big plays. He is also their punt returner and won Washington the game when they went to Utah on this play. This isn’t someone that Colorado wants to forget about. He too can burn them with his speed.

Colorado has a tough matchup having to go against both Ross and Pettis. With Pettis’s ability to return kicks as well as his natural talent as a WR, he could dominate this game in two different phases of the game. Colorado may want to think twice about how they plan on defending Ross. Leave Pettis in single coverage to often and the score could platoon on the Buffs real quick.
