1. Markaviest Bryant, DE, Crisp County (GA)

Even the most casual college football fan knows how competitive the SEC is. That’s common knowledge even if you don’t ever tune into a game. You know about the tremendous athletes that migrate to play there. You’re aware of the talent they send to the NFL year after year. Markaviest Bryant is destined to play on Sundays.

The Bulldogs have already locked up one of the premier strong side defensive ends in Malik Herring. Herring signed on December 1st of 2016, and by doing so, he’s now allowed Georgia the opportunity to shift their full attention to Bryant. They’ll need to. He’s also received interest from several other schools as well. The Auburn Tigers, the LSU Tigers and the Bulldogs appear to be the favorites to land him.

Bryant is a 6-foot-4, 226 pound monster (we mean that as a compliment of course). 247Sports.com sees him as a four-star prospect. He’s also seen by the site as the 148th-best player in the country and the fourth-best player at his position.

If you’re a Georgia fan, the thought of seeing Bryant and Herring chase down ball carriers is a welcome one. If you’re a fan of one of the Georgia rivals, this could be a nightmare. Auburn and Georgia lock up every year. Expect the battle by these two for Bryant’s services to be just as intense. Neither will enjoy the prospect of having to create a battle plan to stop him on the other team for, at least, the next three years.
