2. Leonard Warner, ILB, Brookwood (GA)

Leonard Warner may be leaning toward the Florida State Seminoles, but the Bulldogs are still in the picture as we near National Signing Day. Warner is a 6-foot-4 inside linebacker that is regarded as a four-star prospect. He has the athletic ability to play wherever he wants. He has the grades to enroll at any school he wants.

The Stanford Cardinal join the Seminoles and Bulldogs as the third school in what many believe to be a three-team race to secure Warner’s services. Already having seven inside linebackers on the roster and another three committed may be the biggest obstacle in allowing the Bulldogs from reeling Warner in. The Seminoles, having a total of five, provide a more realistic shot at immediate playing time and getting on the field faster. Still, every citizen of the state of Georgia holds on to the hope that the prospect of playing at home is enough to sway Warner to choose Georgia when it’s all said and done.

247Sports.com sees Warner as being the 177th-best player in the country. He’s also regarded as the seventh-best player at his position and the 17th best player in the state of Georgia. Don’t be surprised if you see him throw on garnet and gold hat come National Signing Day. Don’t expect the Bulldogs to stop recruiting him prior to that either.
