10. OLB Devonte Fields, Louisville

The Louisville Cardinals enjoyed the services of Devonte Fields after he transferred to them in 2014. Fields was originally enrolled in college with the TCU Horned Frogs before a domestic dispute forced him to transfer.

While at TCU, Fields earned Big 12 Newcomer of the Year as well as Defensive Player of the Year as a defensive end. He recorded 53 total tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss, 10 sacks and an interception as a true freshman while at TCU. He was dismissed from the team after a domestic dispute but soon resurfaced back at Louisville at outside linebacker. Since then, he’s been a force to be reckoned with.

In 2015, Fields recorded 63 total tackles, 22 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. He was third in the ACC in tackles for loss and fourth in sacks.

Last season, he recorded 45 tackles, 9.0 tackles for loss, 6.0 sacks and an interception for Louisville. He racked up a season-high 9 tackles, four tackles for loss and three sacks against Wake Forest in the team’s 44-12 victory.

Fields brings pressure off the edge and is decent in coverage. He hopes to standout at the NFL Draft Combine and up his draft stock. He’s got decent skills off the edge but will need to show he can cover quick players in the NFL in coverage.
