Wide receiver James Washington and the Oklahoma State Cowboys enter the 2017 season with the best offense in the country. He has a Heisman worthy quarterback in Mason Rudolph tossing him the ball. Moreover, defenses will not be able to focus all their effort on stopping Washington since he’s surrounded by talented receivers like Jalen McCleskey, Marcell Ateman, and LSU transfer Tyron Johnson.

Washington is the best returning receiver in the nation and he needs to prove his worth to the Cowboys in 2017 for the NFL to take notice. He caught 71 passes for more than 1,400 yards and 10 touchdowns last year. His 18.8 yards per reception was the most eye popping state he had.

Not only is Washington part of the best offense in the country and the best returning receiver, he is also the best deep threat and possibly the best playmaker, as a whole. Yet, saying that Washington is the best playmaker could be taking away from Lamar Jackson, Derrius Guice, and Saquon Barkley.

Washington could have more than 1,500 yards and 12 touchdowns by the end of the season. That might not put him in position to win the Heisman but it might make him the best receiver in the country, still, at the end of the year.
