NC State came up just short of the South Carolina Gamecocks. Sophomore South Carolina quarterback Jake Bentley led the way. NC State seemed to control the pace of play for most of the game which makes the result even more disappointing.

The Wolfpack were one of those teams that were unranked but still had big expectations. Led by defensive end Bradley Chubb and running back Nyheim Hines, this NC State team can still be very good.

Marshall took care of the Miami (OH) Redhawks in Week 1. The Thundering Herd could be a tough out in Week 2. NC State needs a big rebound performance to show that they are for real and not just all hype this year.

This is the first time that the Wolfpack take the field in Raleigh, N.C., at Carter Finley Stadium in 2017. The stands should be packed and Wolfpack fans will be loud. It should be an easy victory for NC State.
