2. Bryce Love is the best running back on the field

Junior running back Bryce Love is the best player on this Stanford offense. He has all the talent in the world to make a real run for the Heisman Trophy this year. Love could help Stanford fans forget about McCaffrey just a little bit easier.

Last week, Love totaled 180 rushing yards and one touchdown. Backup running back Cameron Scarlett took some of the load later in the game when the Cardinal jumped out to a big lead. Scarlett did rush for three touchdowns but had less than one-third the rushing yards that Love did.

The USC defense will be the biggest challenge for Love as a starter, so far. There’s quite a few run defenses in the PAC-12 that are lacking something. Yet, USC has one of the best linebackers in the country leading their front seven in Cameron Smith.

Love has shown throughout his career that he is usually up for a challenge. He can show the rest of the PAC-12 that he could be possibly the best rusher in the conference.
