Let’s be honest, Tennessee got Tennessee’d. The ending of that Florida game was almost exactly like the ending to the Georgia-Tennessee game last year that Tennessee won on a hail mary pass. Despite the loss, there was a lot to like from the Vols in the game. In particular the defense was stout till the end of the game. I also liked seeing the resiliency of Quinten Dormady in this game. Despite throwing three interceptions, he stood in their and delivered in the end of the game.

Tennessee is better than I would have thought going into this season. But they have to get things going earlier in games. In both the Georgia Tech and Florida games their offense was late to the game, not doing much until the second half of games. If the Vols are going to improve and win in the East, then they need more consistency to begin games. This week was heartbreaking for them, but they have to put it behind them now and go win.

Raise your hand if you thought Kentucky would beat South Carolina. If you raised your hand you know you’re lying. Kentucky’s defense came out of nowhere and limited the Gamecocks on offense. At first it didn’t look as if that was going to happen with the early touchdown they gave up but the Wildcats defense responded.

The offense was led by Benny Snell Jr. on the ground with two rushing touchdown’s. Kentucky had to win this game to get a leg up in the East. Give them credit, they did what no one expected them to do. South Carolina was looking like the class of the SEC East and Kentucky decided they didn’t care for that. With this momentum, it’ll be interesting to see what the Wildcats do next week against Florida.
