Last year, Duke was the team that was the underdog against the North Carolina Tar Heels. Both Duke and UNC were relative unknowns entering the season. However, Duke is proving to be a real competitor in the conference this year.

Now, Duke is a slight favorite over the Tar Heels by 3.5 points. UNC started the season with former LSU transfer quarterback Brandon Harris taking the reigns of the offense. Now, they have Chazz Surratt as the starting quarterback.

Head coach Larry Fedora took it slow finding a starter. Yet, it seems like Surratt is the guy now for the Tar Heels. Surratt has thrown for nearly 600 yards and seven total touchdowns. He’s nearly matched the production of Duke quarterback Daniel Jones.

Duke is red hot after defeating two Power Five opponents out of conference including the Baylor Bears and Northwester Wildcats. The 41-17 victory over Northwestern was quite impressive. However, rivalry games are always tough to win and this promises to be a good one.
