3. Turnover in the Mizzou coaching staff might happen soon

Something is not right with the Mizzou football program right now. Ever since the retirement of former head coach Gary Pinkel due to cancer, Barry Odom has slipped into that slot. Odom built numerous effective defenses with Mizzou and seemed like the perfect fit.

Yet, since winning back-to-back SEC Championships in 2013 and 2014, Mizzou has steadily gone downhill. The offense has still been putting up consistently respectable numbers. There is no consistency to the flow of their matchups at all.

Opposition has now started to just purely dominate Mizzou. Their last three opponents since Week 1 include the South Carolina Gamecocks, Purdue Boilermakers and Auburn. All three of those opponents outscored them by at least 18-points.

When games starting getting worse and worse and opponents are making it look easy it’s time for a change in personnel. Regardless of if they do that through the players they recruit or the coaches on the staff, something should change soon with this program.
