Florida State kicker Ricky Aguayo made four field goals out of his five attempts on the day, with his longest being 37 yards. He also made good on his lone extra point attempt. Aguayo did however miss a 30 yard attempt late in the second quarter and four plays later, the Wolfpack were in the endzone which gave them a two score lead.
Derwin James did have a nice 49 yard kickoff return and the Seminoles averaged nearly 10 yards per punt return 33 yards on their three kickoff returns. Punter Logan Tyler had 4 punts, averaging 47 yards per punt. He placed two of those punts inside the NC State 20 yard line.

There was nothing terribly special about the Seminoles on their special teams. They earn the minus for the missed chip shot field goal by Aguayo, which turned into a 10 point swing since NC State scored soon after the miss. The Seminoles could have used a big return to set up a shorter field for the offense, but it was not meant to be in this one.
