Bold prediction: Brandon Wimbush throws three touchdown passes. Wimbush is averaging 5.8 yards per pass attempt 6.4 yards per carry. He’s been much more dangerous on the ground so far this season, but he’s going to have to develop a stronger passing game if the Irish are going to be successful long-term. He doubles his 2017 touchdown total in Week 5 with three more.

Bold prediction: Luke Del Rio throws four interceptions. There are zero legitimate reasons that starting Del Rio on Saturday makes sense. Actually, there are several reasons why it doesn’t make a lick of sense at all. Whatever coach McElwain sees in Del Rio won’t come through on the field. In his first start since the midpoint of last season, Del Rio lays an egg. He gets an early hook, forcing Feleipe Franks back into the game to attempt to stave off an upset.
