College Football: 25 Bold Predictions for Top 25 in Week 5

Bold prediction: Rutgers wins.

I was really tempted to leave that prediction there without elaboration, but a loss to Rutgers might be the boldest prediction that has been included yet this season. The Knights held Washington and Nebraska close through a half of play. They’re not 2-10 bad. They might not be good enough to reach 6-6 this season, but there’s something about the Buckeyes that doesn’t feel quite up to championship quality. They’re going to stumble down the road to a team they should handle easily. That goof comes Saturday on the road at High Point Solutions Stadium.

Bold prediction: Wisconsin finishes +4 in turnover margin. The Badgers’ defense is the real deal. The Northwestern offense is not good. Those two combined make for an awfully one-sided game at Camp Randall Stadium. Alex Hornibrook and John Taylor execute the offensive gameplan to perfection and the defense does their part to seal and easy victory.
