College Football: 25 Bold Predictions for Top 25 in Week 5
Off Week
Bold prediction: Clemson wins by 25. Death, Taxes and the Clemson Tigers. The defending National Champions weren’t considered to be contenders again this season. Florida State was the front-runner in the ACC. Now, the Noles are 0-2 and Clemson has answered every test with a resounding, dominant victory. The Hokies become their next victim on Saturday.
Bold prediction: Ole Miss gets a defensive touchdown. Alabama gets a taste of their own medicine. It was a fumble by Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly that turned the game in favor of the Crimson Tide a year ago. Now it’s the Rebels’ turn to return the favor. Alabama coughs up the football and Ole Miss takes it back to pay dirt in a bizarre role reversal.

Because so many teams are off this week here are a couple of bonus predictions.
1. Iowa State beats Texas on Thursday night. It’s a night game in Ames. Texas is coming off an emotional loss at USC. The Cyclones blanked the Longhorns in Austin in 2015, but lost last year. They get their revenge, and the nation will be watching.
2. Utah State keeps BYU out of the end zone. For 15 minutes the Aggies kept Wisconsin at bay in their season opener. Then the Badgers kicked it into gear and the rout was on. The Cougars are awful on offense and averaging less than 10 points per game. Their first true road game at night is going to be problematic.
