3. Jarrett Stidham stays hot

Despite turnovers in the game against the Mercer Bears, sophomore quarterback Jarrett Stidham has played very well over the past two weeks. And, the turnovers committed by Stidham and the Auburn offense against Mercer could place blame across the board.

Stidham is in need of a big performance against a quality opponent to build confidence for the rest of the SEC slate. He’ll get his chance against one of the better leaders in the SEC in Nick Fitzgerald.

In total, Stidham has thrown for 846 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions. He’s added another touchdown on the ground. The Auburn run game has helped carry the load when Stidham has struggled this year.

Georgia’s Jake Fromm was very efficient against this Mississippi State secondary last week. There’s a good opportunity for Stidham have his first multi-touchdown passing performance since the season opener against Georgia Southern.
