One thing is certain after Missouri’s loss to Georgia. Drew Lock and the offense did everything they could for Missouri to stay competitive in that game. That defense is just bad. Really bad. It allowed 370 yards rushing in that game. Georgia’s ground game is great but giving up almost 400 yards on the ground really shows just how woeful that defense is. As I mentioned, the offense was a bright spot and will be something to build off going into next season.

Drew Lock has been good this season and the offense has produced more often than not. I just don’t see Missouri getting that defense fixed enough to win really any SEC game this season. Their best shots will be against Vanderbilt and maybe Tennessee. After this week I fully expect Missouri to miss a bowl game once again. A coaching change would not shock me either. The day will come Mizzou fans, just not quite yet.

I said that the Razorbacks got beatdown on the road last week against South Carolina. Take out South Carolina and add Alabama, and you have what happened to Arkansas this week as well. The loss of Austin Allen hurt the Razorbacks, but let’s be honest, it wouldn’t have done much to help the Hogs in this game.

Arkansas had no answer for the ground game from Damien Harris, Bo Scarbrough and Jalen Hurts. Arkansas can find a positive in that the got the first interception off of Jalen Hurts this season. Sorry, that’s not much of a positive. Just trying to help, Razorback fans. I will say Cole Kelley played well in this game and he showed good potential. The rest of the offense however, is not what it has been in recent seasons. As of now, it’s going to be hard for Arkansas to make a bowl game; and even harder for Bret Bielema to keep his job at the end of the season.
