2. The Oklahoma defense improves, a bit

If the Sooners have a weakness, it is the defense. They aren’t bad by any means, but they aren’t strong either. They have been up and down all season and have been to blame for the loss to Iowa State and near loss to Texas. The unit will need to step up big time to lock down a win against Kansas State on Saturday.

That is not to say that Kansas State is a Big 12 power, but neither was Iowa State. They need to be strong and work as a unit for a Sooner victory. That being said, we have to talk about Ogbonnia Okoronkwo. This kid is a freak athlete.

The Sooner defensive end has been a huge part of this teams 5-1 start to the season. He finished the Texas game last weekend with 11 quarterback pressures and four total stops — including the game winner. He also had the game winning strip sack against Baylor. Just watch this kid in action.

The Oklahoma defense will improve on Saturday against Kansas State, even if it’s just by a small margin. Of course it will help if sophomore Alex Delton starts under center over Jesse Ertz. They will need to improve to win though. I predict that Ogbonnia Okoronkwo has another big game, three sacks in total and leads the rest of the defense to a victory against Kansas State.
