Florida State Football: 3 takeaways from loss to Boston College
By Dana Becker
Eagles feeling golden
Don’t look now, but Boston College has won three in a row and four of its last five to go above the .500 mark at 5-4 on the season. Those wins include victories vs. Central Michigan, Louisville, Virginia and now Florida State.
And they are getting it done with offense.
The Golden Eagles have scored 28, 45, 41 and 35 points in their last four wins after not getting past 23 in the first four games of the season.
Freshman A.J. Dillon had his third 100-yard rushing performance, finishing with 149 yards on 33 carries and a touchdown vs. the Seminoles as part of a 241-yard night.
He also ran for 272 yards two weeks ago vs. Louisville and had 120 in the win against Central Michigan.
BC head coach Steve Addazio definitely found a workhorse back when he grabbed Dillon out of Connecticut, as he has carried the ball 96 times over the past three games. For the year, Dillon has 185 carries and 843 yards with seven touchdowns.
Boston College now gets to take the rest of October off, along with the first week in November, before returning to play with a home game vs. NC State. They close with non-conference foe Connecticut and a road trip to Syracuse.
