1. Washington’s defense is the most underrated in the country

The job that Peterson has done with this defense since coming to Seattle is incredible. Washington was a team that most opposition struggled to score against last season. With even more injuries to the secondary this year, it’s still holding strong.

It would have been easy to say that Peterson just had a lot of talent to work with last season with defensive backs like Budda Baker and Kevin King. However, Taylor Rapp and JoJo McIntosh have stepped in and done just as good.

The linebackers have been the strongest position group for the Washington defense. Junior linebacker Tevis Bartlett has really stuck out as the best of the group with two interceptions now on the season, including one against Oregon.

This defense needs to start garnering more national attention with how good it has been. Teams like the Alabama Crimson Tide, Georgia Bulldogs, Michigan Wolverines, etc. have gotten credit while the Huskies have not in that area.
