3. Something is up with Adams

Kelly tried to avoid it last week after the win over Wake Forest, but there are some issues right now with Adams.

The junior ran for 202 yards in October when Notre Dame routed NC State. Since, he has posted 22 and 40 vs. Wake Forest and  MIami, carrying the ball just 21 times total.

Adams surpassed the 1,200-yard mark on the season, but this isn’t the same player we watched go for over 100 in four straight games and post 20 games over 200 on the year.

Like Wimbush, if Adams isn’t healthy, Notre Dame needs to sit him and get him back to full strength for either a bowl game or the Stanford contest to conclude the season. They are doing Adams absolutely no good right now putting him out there and watching him get beating up on.
