It was a rough week for the Orange, as Eric Dungey sat on the sidelines as Louisville rolled to a 46-point victory.

Rex Culpepper and Zack Mahoney did their best to replace Dungey, but threw for just 138 yards and four interceptions. Moe Neal ran for 98 yards, but star receivers Steve Ishmael and Ervin Phillips combined for four catches for 42 yards.

Syracuse returns home to face Boston College inside the Carrier Dome.

Pittsburgh was six minutes from upsetting Virginia Tech when Josh Jackson found Cam Phillips for a 23-yard touchdown. The Panthers let a fourth quarter lead disappear.

After putting together a string of big games, Pittsburgh running back Darrin Hall was held to just four yards on 15 carries.

The Panthers host Miami Friday night at Heinz Field.

The Tar Heels stepped out of league play and handled Western Carolina last week. The game was just what North Carolina needed, giving them a third win this season.

Nathan Elliott completed 18 of 28 for 240 yards with four touchdowns, as seven different players ran for 313 yards.

North Carolina hits the road this Saturday to face NC State.

Duke earned a big win last week, stunning Georgia Tech for the home faithful, 43-20.

The Blue Devils snapped a six-game losing streak as Brittain Brown ran for 116 yards and Daniel Jones accounted for three scores.

The win gave them five for the season, meaning a victory over Wake Forest on the road this week would make Duke bowl eligible.
