ACC Football Power Rankings 2017: Clemson takes over top spot

If you ever doubt that history repeats itself, just as Pittsburgh.
Once again, the Panthers knocked off the No. 2 ranked team, shocking Miami and handing the Hurricanes their first loss of the season.
Unfortunately for Pittsburgh, the win was just the fifth of the season and they will not be going bowling this year. They did post a 4-3 mark at home and were 3-5 in the league.
With the chance to showcase themselves against an SEC frontrunner, Georgia Tech failed to deliver, coming up empty in the rivalry contest.
The loss will also keep Paul Johnson and the Yellow Jackets from the postseason, as they finish the year 5-6 despite placing third in their division with a 4-4 mark.
Georgia Tech was winless on the road, losing all four games.
Some might question it, but Florida State will get the chance to keep its bowl streak alive after topping Florida for win No. 5 on the year.
Due to hurricanes that hit the area earlier this year, the Seminoles lost out on a game with UL-Monroe. They will make that contest up this Saturday with the chance to earn victory No. 6 and keep their current 35-year run of bowls alive and push it to a record-breaking 36.
Florida State has won three of four overall and two straight after falling to 2-5 at one point.
Thankfully for Wake Forest, they reached seven wins prior to this past week, as the Demon Deacons were stunned by Duke.
Wake Forest sits at 7-5 overall and 4-4 in the ACC, good for a tie for third in the division behind Clemson and NC State.
It will be interesting to see who they get matched up with, as the Demon Deacons started the year 4-0 before losing three straight, only to finish 3-2 down the stretch.
